Sandra Moreno

Sandra Moreno is a community-focused strategic advisor and public servant whose work centers on equity, human rights, and inclusive governance. She currently serves as a Strategic Project Advisor with the City of Edmonton, where she leads the implementation of a citywide anti-racism strategy and advises senior leadership on accountability, systems change, and community impact. Her work includes supporting the implementation of the Anti-Racism Strategy, advancing youth civic engagement initiatives, and supporting cross-sector partnerships.
Internationally, Sandra has worked in Tanzania and has experience in Central America addressing transnational crime, including human trafficking. She has also presented on trauma-informed practices at a United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) forum in Panama.
Sandra holds a Master’s degree in Human Security and Peacebuilding from Royal Roads University. Her work has received national and international recognition, including an award from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador. She has also been featured in articles by Royal Roads University and the University of Alberta highlighting her contributions as a public servant and community leader.
A lifelong learner and global citizen, Sandra draws inspiration from her extensive travels and deeply values the world’s rich cultural diversity.
