John Gaye

John Gaye is a respected community leader with extensive experience in leadership, organizational management, and public service. He has served as President of the Liberian Community in Edmonton, Board Chair and Executive Director of the Africa Centre, and currently leads the Edmonton Multicultural Coalition as its Executive Director while also serving as a civil servant. With more than 20 years of combined experience across the public and nonprofit sectors, he has guided large organizations, strengthened community institutions, and managed international development projects in several African countries.
He holds a Master of Public Administration, a Bachelor of Commerce, and a Bachelor of Philosophy, Politics and Economics. His professional training includes project management, along with certifications in public policy, leadership, evaluation, facilitation, and financial management.
