Laura Otchie is a Ghanaian-Canadian woman in her third year at the University of Alberta. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a Biology minor. After she completes her undergraduate studies, she hopes to continue with graduate studies so that she can fulfill her dream of becoming a Clinical Psychologist. Laura is an advocate for mental health care, especially for BIPOC communities. She also possesses a passion for working with youths. As an executive member of the University of Alberta’s Black Students Association, Laura aims to continue fostering a sense of community among Black students on campus. She also strives to organize events that aid in the professional development of Black students on campus.
