Lisa has been serving the Canadian Center for Women’s Empowerment (CCFWE) since 2020 in the roles of National Human Resources Director and Chief of Operations. Lisa is a Canadian Certified Inclusion Professional with degrees in Aging and Psychology, and certificates in Leadership and Diversity, LGBT+ Inclusion and Human Resources Management.

Lisa is proud to announce that CCFWE received the 2023 Canadian Women Entrepreneur Award for driving Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Excellence in the category “Women’s Health and Wellbeing.”

A proven leader, Lisa’s career has involved three levels of government; with roles in recreation, social services, defence and health; plus over a decade within the non-profit sectors. Lisa is a person with disabilities and has won several awards as an Author for her work in Employment Equity. She has served as a Board Director for Roberts Smart Centre and Centrepointe Childcare. She currently volunteers with Every Canadian Counts, as disability advocacy organization.
